Water Buffalo Cart @ Iriomote-Yubu in beautiful Okinawa (JINS_4701)

If you travel to Iriomote-jima Island in Okinawa Prefecture, my strong recommendation is take a ride on a water buffalo cart which travels between Iriomote-jima Island and Yubu Island. UNESCO designated southern islands of Amami-ohshima, Tokuno-shima, Nothern Okinawa-Honto and Iriomote-jima as World Natural Heritage Sites in 2021.

The cart is pulled by a water buffalo, traveling over a shallow seawater channel between Iriomote-jima Island and Yubu Island. It is only a 15-minute ride one-way but good enough to feel a sea breeze and experience a sense of your being part of nature. A cart driver will entertain you by his live performance of playing Okinawa Sanshin (local musical instrument) and Okinawa Minyo (folk song) . How good is it? To get the answer, please look into 1-minute video attached below.
