Asukayama Park is located in Oji, the northern part of Tokyo. It is well known as one of the cherry blossom viewing spots. There is a playground in the park, and an old locomotive on display. That’s why it is popular with both tourists and families.
Asukayama Park is also a place associated with Eiichi Shibusawa, the face of the new 10,000 JPY banknote. You can find the buildings which was designated as Important Cultural Properties at Former Shibusawa Garden. Furthermore, Shibusawa Eiichi Memorial foundation, one of the three museums in the park, has a lot of materials.
