This tour takes you to a massive underground structure called RYU-Q kan in Kasukabe city of Saitama prefecture, about 30 km north from central Tokyo. The RYU-Q kan is a part of the Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel which is a huge underground structure to prevent the area from flodding. At the RYU-Q kan, you will join the walking tour offered by staffs of the local government. All expranations are done in Japanese, so I will translate for customers. For detail, please see my blog.

・see the control room and listen to the instruction of the tour.
・attend the walking tour to the underground structure.

What You can Expect in this Tour

Walking tour
At the Ryukyukan, the following walking tour is offered daily.
(1) Opening hours: 9:30~16:00 except for Monday and New year day
(2) Number of guests: up to 50 persons
(3) Duration: about 1 hour
(4) Fee: 1,000 JPY
(5) Reservation: It is necessary to make a reservation at the Kasukabe city website.

Japanese culture explanation
On the way to the RYU-Q kan, I will introduce some of Japanese culture such as brief history of Japan, natural disaster relatiing to the RYU-Q kan.
