Overview
From this hilltop park, you can overlook Fujiyoshida City and Mt. Fuji, and the photographs of Mt. Fuji, cherry blossom and the five-storied pagoda for the war dead have been cited in various media.
Thanks to Yamanashi Prefecture’s appeal to Thai tourism companies, it has become particularly popular and well-known among Thais, and it’s said that the park became famous among foreign tourists because of a Thai Instagrammer.
The negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic must be too numerous to list, but one of the few benefits was that the park wasn’t overly crowded during the cherry blossom season when I visited in early April, 2021.
