Icicles of Misotsuchi, a photogenic spot in Chichibu City (YUKI_1102)

Art of Nature in Winter

You can appreciate ice art created from the harsh winter environment unique to Oku-chichibu in the great nature of the headwaters of the Arakawa River from mid-January to late February, the coldest time of the year. At night, you can enjoy the illuminated icicles, large-scale ice objects with a height of 8m and a width of about 30m.

The day after I heard the news that it had snowed in Chichibu, I made a quick plan. I got off at the Misotsuchi bus stop on my way from worshiping at Mitsumine Shrine, and saw the natural icicles for the first time. You can return to Chichibu Railway Mitsumineguchi Station by using public transportation, so you should enjoy the illumination.
