Takeda Shrine

Overview

Takeda Shrine was founded about 100 years ago on the ruins of the Tsutsujigasaki manshion, where the three generations of the Takeda clan, Nobutora, Shingen, and Katsuyori, ruled the country.

In the precincts, moats, earthen walls, stone walls and old wells from those days remain, and armors and swords related to the Takeda clan are displayed in the treasure hall.

I visited the shrine in early April, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, but you can also enjoy the autumn foliage if you visit from mid-November to early December.
